Welcome to the Bovine Bombshell family, where we believe life is better with cattle, laughter, and a whole lot of God‑given grit. Meet the Van Gorp herd—Tracy, Kristine, Maryssa, and Walker. We’ve been ranching, parenting, praying, and occasionally chasing runaway cows (and kids) since 1999.
It all started when a farm‑lovin’ young man, Tracy, (who had ranchin’- blood run in his veins since he could walk), happened to fall in love with a veterinary technician and cow-loving little lady just 8 miles down the road, and it was the start of the bovine dream team! Raising kids and cattle with equal parts of hard work and humor was the dream. The herd eventually grew by two—Maryssa and Walker —and we’re watching them spread their wings… and occasionally forget to shut the gate.
Walker inherited his dad's undeniable cattle bug, so when he wanted to join the Beef Addiction Cattle Company full‑time, we had to rethink how another full time employee fit into the ranch puzzle. The solution? Let Walker take over Mom’s role on the ranch… and let Mom unleash her inner Bombshell.
Enter BEEF TALLOW. Beef suet is the natural fat found around the kidneys and loins of a cow. When rendered, which is the process of melting and straining to remove impurities, it becomes tallow.
Turns out, when you’ve got cattle, you’ve also got a LOT of tallow—and when Kristine whipped up her first jar, the ranch went gangbusters. Suddenly, everyone had new jobs, new energy, and a new adventure. At Bovine Bombshell, we raise each critter from beginning to end. This allows us to know the excellence in our tallow is a direct reflection of the excellence in care.
So where did “Bovine Bombshell” come from?
Kristine was feeding one morning in the feed truck, and while listening to the morning ritual station, decided to participate in the morning trivia. She needed a fake name fast, as she wanted to stay anonymous, so out of nowhere she called herself the first thing she thought of. As she looked around at the finest pen of cattle ever seen, she randomly said her identity was the “Bovine Bombshell.” Instantly, Bovine Bombshell was created and just like that… a brand was born with its boots already running.
The Bombshell brand has traveled to numerous states, sparked countless friendships, and opened doors only God could have planned. Kristine follows His lead in her new adventure—just like she does in her lay ministry and life—trusting that if we care for friends, family, and cattle, He will take care of the rest.
